Hangover Cure

Hangovers happen to the best of us. They are caused by acetaldehyde toxicity, dehydration, low blood sugar, and a few acute vitamin deficiencies. There are things you can do the night before to help reduce these symptoms, as well as additional remedies to reach for in the morning.

Here are some useful pointers:

The night of imbibing, drink 1 cup of water between each drink or drink at least 2 large cups of water before bed. Drink something with electrolytes, like coconut water or Recharge, before bed to restore what the kidneys lost while drinking. This recipe for the morning after will help get you back to life by giving you everything you are missing!

SERVES 1

  • ½ apple, cored

  • 1 fresh or frozen medium banana

  • 1 tablespoon nut butter

  • 1 cup ice water

  • 2 pinches salt

  • 1 serving probiotic powder or1/4 cup kefir (optional)

  • 1 Emergen-C packet or 1 to 2 grams powdered vitamin C (optional)
